IFSEC exhibitor Brickcom Corporation has released its first full HD three megapixel network camera, the FB-300A.
With a three megapixel sensor that delivers both full HD (1080p) and HD(720p) resolution, the FB-300A has been described as the ideal surveillance solution for open areas and applications that require detailed video surveillance, such as license plates, numbers, and people. The series has been designed to stream video feed at up to 2,032 x 1,526 megapixel resolution.
Smartphone enabled
A spokesman said: “With its wider view angle, the number of cameras needed for each application is reduced. With a removable IR-cut filter and H.264, MPEG4, and MJPEG triple codec compression, the FB-300A series provides true day and night surveillance with reduced bandwidth and storage requirements.”
Users can view live feed from anywhere by using their internet browser or 3G mobile phone, the company said. Its Fixed Box series can also transmit the video to portable devices through technologies such as Power over Ethernet (PoE), WiMax, NAS, Digital Frame and power lines.
The Wireless WFB-300A model, which combines IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless compliance and WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) to create a secure wireless solution, has been designed so that it may be easily installed in locations where Ethernet cabling is too difficult or expensive.
Valuable footage is 'safe'
By using dual band WiFi, the WFB-300A should deliver smooth video and audio surveillance without the interference of network traffic from devices such as laptops, portable phones, and microwaves, Brickcom promise.
“The WPS function enables users to setup a secure wireless network connection between the camera and access point with the push of a button.
“Each Brickcom FB-300A is equipped with an SD/SDHC memory card slot that allows the camera to record video to a memory card if the connection is ever down, ensuring that valuable video footage is never lost", said Brickcom.
In addition to the built-in motion detection function, the FB-300Aa model has been built to support Intelligent Video Analysis, which can be used for applications such as object tracking, people counting, and forbidden region alarm alerts.
